Comment from David Valenta

I am 70 years old and work full time at Lowe’s and Part-time for Uber as a 1099 independent contractor. This is my choice to pay my own taxes and provide my wife and I Major Medical insurance. I did not come to work for Uber expecting any benefits. I am taking additional insurance through Uber when I drive that protects me and my passengers if in a accident. I do not want to be classified as an employee. In a previous occupation I was self employed for 7 years. Uber does not need to provide any other benefits for me. I like my freedom to start driving when I want and stopping when I want. I can always go drive for ALTO if I want to be classified as a employee, but it is my choice not too.
