Comment from Leslie Hammond

I am 72 years old and retired from 42+ years with the Dept of Defense. I have a very nice pension and health insurance. I work on my own schedule as an Uber food delivery driver (stopped doing Uber rides when the pandemic started). I do not want to be an Uber employee. My belief is becoming an Uber employee will cause loss of flexibility and add work “rules” such as minimum time driving requirements including the necessity to drive during hours I do not want to drive etc. I do belief Uber and the other platforms should provide means for drivers who are working on a full time basis to receive health care and other benefits but not at the expense of becoming employees. I also believe wages need to be restructured.
