Comment from M Patrick

I am an independent contractor by choice. There are plenty of jobs available out there at least where I live should I want one. Labeling me as an employee will be the end of my Uber/Lyft days and I will absolutely start doing this illegally for cash on the side like many drivers already do.

The vast majority of drivers only do this part time anyways as they have full-time jobs. All the rideshare driving companies need to do is expel the ones who are doing it full-time and whining that they can’t afford health insurance. I do this full-time by the way but I don’t complain but I can’t afford this or that. Nobody is forcing me at gunpoint to do this. I think some people just want to make like $1000 or $1500 a week doing this and have their insurance paid for. Either that or they are just bad at this they only make a third of that money because they drive around stupid areas that don’t generate money.
